About me
My name is Elena Alt, I am an Art Director at Ice-Pick Lodge and curator of the Game Graphics program at Scream School.

I received my Bachelor's degree in Costume Design in 2016. But the world of video games still at that point interested me more than the fashion industry. In the same year I entered Scream School in the direction of Game Graphics, where I studied 3D modeling and work with game engines. During my time at the school I realized that what I enjoy most is designing levels and working with environments for video games.
In my second year, I got a job at Ice-Pick Lodge on Pathologic 2, combining the position of level designer and level artist.
After that I worked as a level artist and environment artist at Mundfish on Atomic Heart and at Odd-Meter on INDIKA.

You can see more of my work in my portfolio on Artstation.

During my time in gamemade I have been in the roles of levele artist, levele designer and environment artist. I talked about the difference between these professions in an interview with Alexey Lutsey for XYZ, which you can watch on YouTube.

I am a speaker at gamedev conferences where I talk about creating art for video games. I've collected a lot of material about the specifics of artists and level artists work, which I want to share on my blog.
